“Cinco De Mayo” is “Salud” day at NYC

Next Tuesday (Cinco De Mayo) will mark the NYC screening of SALUD.

Salud is directed by a great friend of mine Cesar De Leon.  I had the pleasure of cutting the film, so if you’re  free and in the area (east village) come check out a good independent film.

On the plus side if you get there early there will be fee tequila.  Just in case the movie sucks you won’t know because you’ll be toasted.   Seriously, the film had it’s world premiere this month at the Beverly Hills Film Festival where it won the best screenplay award for a feature film.

NewLatino Filmmakers Screening Series is an ongoing series organized in collaboration with the Anthology Film Archives that showcases emerging Latino filmmakers/producers whose work is contributing toward the face of the Latino Film New Wave and who have not yet had a major commercial theatrical release. It also features non-Latino filmmakers/producers whose films are Latino-themed and/or whose primary subject matter touches upon the Latino/Latin American experience in a respectful manner, and who have not yet had a major commercial theatrical release. The series is now in its seventh year.

Reception 6:30-7pm. Complimentary Tequila cocktails in lobby in honor of Cinco de Mayo.
