Nectarios Leonidas was born in Rhodes, Greece and studied at the University of Connecticut. In the mid 90s, he moved to New York City to pursue filmmaking, where he attended the School of Visual Arts. After SVA, he continued his training on high profile films, like “Basquiat” and “The Mirror Has Two Faces.”
As an award-winning filmmaker in his own right. His short films, commercials, music videos and feature have appeared in numerous film festivals, and broadcast markets around the world. He prides himself on bringing his vision and perspective to different musical artist, companies and brands to stand out from the crowded media landscape.
As a video editor with over 15+ years experience, he has worked on a variety of projects. This includes independent films like “Blueprint,” which was nominated for an IFP Gotham award for best film in 2007 and “Salud,” which won Best Screenplay at the 2009 Beverly Hills Film Festival. Most recently, he worked on the award-winning shorts, “Redeploy, ” and “Paper Wrap Fire.” Additionally, he helped craft the rough cut and teaser trailer, for the award winning feature, “Front Cover.”
He has freelanced on different documentaries, news shows, non-profits, web series, corporate and promos for a variety of clients ranging from broadcast to high-end corporate and government agencies. In all the videos, his focus is on telling a compelling story to the target audience.
